The Bridport Prize - Get Your Stories in NOW!

If you're thinking about entering the most prestigious short story competition in the UK you might want to get your entry in asap. I recently read that Bridport receives in excess of 4,000 entries and 1,500 of those arrive in the last week (the closing date is 30 June). As the readers only have until 1 August to get the longlisted stories to the judge that doesn't give them very much time to carefully read those final 1,500 stories. This is one occasion, in my opinion, when it's definitely a good idea to get your entry in sooner rather than later.
