What Makes a Novel Powerful?

Still haven't written a word, still haven't had an idea, but have aimlessly surfed the web for hours *sigh*

The upside being I found this interesting post on paperback writer's blog called 'story power'. How 'powerful' is your novel?

Aimless can be good sometimes... your brain obviously needs time out. Writing a novel is no mean feat, especially considering how many words you wrote in such a short time at the end!

Interesting link...

Thanks Jen. I'm just so used to writing nearly every day that I don't know how to 'not write'! I need to re-learn how to slob out in front on the TV (or better, read a book!)

I could teach you how to 'slob out watching the TV'! I'm an old hat at it.

Read, Cally - definitely spend that extra time reading. You need to refuel, and that's the best way for writers!

And well done, once again, on completing that novel. In under 4 months too, wow, that is some achievement.

Thanks for introducing me to this post (and for rolling one of mine).

Congrats on your uncommonly quick completion. And best of luck on the probably longer haul to follow (but arguably the hardest part is over)...
