The five stages of the final draft

Thanks to B.E. Sanderson I recently discovered the blog "Living the Romantic Comedy" and this particular post made me grin a lot:

That's very good - and so true! Love the bit about coal among the diamonds...can definitely relate to that. Luckily the 'me' now is a lot better than the 'me' a couple of years ago - but probably haven't reached my full potential yet...how do you know when you have, I wonder??

Thanks for the link - very funny (but I imagine horribly true). I'm going to save his post in a 'to be opened when I've reached my final draft stage' file, so I can give myself a timely reminder that I am not alone.

I now have a big grin on my face - thanks!
