Photo prompt

The other night Brighton was so misty the whole atmosphere of the city seemed to change. I took a photo and, to my surprise, it turned out wonderfully spooky. When I posted it on twitter earlier people interpreted it so differently I thought I'd post it on my blog too, in case it inspires someone to write a story...

(NB: This isn't the blog post on character I promised in my previous blog. That's up next...)

That's really atmospheric - I can feel a story coming on already!

It makes me thing of how someone might see when drunk or perhaps drugged. Immediately making me think did they get drunk on purpose? Or why would someone drug them?

Already thriller ideas are coming through strongly.

Using random or unique images is always a brillaint way to get the imagination going. Thanks for sharing :)

Mugging or murder scene about to happen!

Can't wait to read how you do characters. Julie Cohen had helpful advice on her blog. Do you use character arcs too?

Ooh there's something timeless about it... it looks like an oil painting rather than a photo.

I quite often use Stumble to find a photo as a prompt for freewriting, it's gets a different bit o' the Brian going to wordy prompts?

If I drink enough beer, will the photo go back into focus?

That's not Upper North Street, is it? If so, that's me in front and why are you stalking me?
